Tim's inspection saved us $12,500 in our negotiations in a private party transaction. He was professional, kind, and very thorough.

OUTSTANDING! We're very pleased with the extremely thorough inspection Tim performed on the class c rv we purchased from a private party. He spent six hours carefully inspecting every aspect of the unit and generated a detailed report with pictures and videos of issues he found. This allowed us to prioritize what we need to address immediately upon taking possession, maintenance issues to address in the near future, and confidence in everything else. Tim clearly answered our questions before and after the inspection and also educated us on rv systems we're unfamiliar with. Whether you're purchasing new, used, from a dealer, or from a private seller, get it checked out by Sound RV Inspections! Thank you Tim!!

ALWAYS GET THE INSPECTION! We were really on the fence on getting an inspection. The RV we are looking at is brand-new. How much can be wrong with a brand-new RV?? It can't really be worth the price of the inspection on something that just rolled off the factory, right?? WRONG. An RV inspection with Tim was worth EVERY PENNY. He was personable and knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff! He shared his experience with us and we are much more confident RV owners now. The insights he gave us will help us keep our RV in great shape for many years to come. While he didn't find anything major, he found minor things that will develop into major things in a short period of time. He found gaps in the sealant that we never would have seen until after the mold grew and the inside wood rotted. He found misalignment in the canopy, which was minor now, but will definitely cause shredding and tearing to the fabric after a handful of extensions. He found a loose pipe on the underside that was just missing the strap to hold it up. This surely would have been damaged in transit to our property and would have caused MAJOR damage to our unit. We were fortunate that it requires only minor adjustments. But, many many RVs have major problems hidden from view. His findings gave us bargaining power with the dealership. We were able to have these things fixed in-house so we didn't have to bring it back and have it sit for long periods of time later. Call Tim. It was well worth the cost. Just consider an inspection another part of purchasing an RV.

I could not recommend using an amazing RV inspector more. Tim did a fantastic job for us. His detailed report addressed everything in a detailed way, with images and videos to support his findings. Money well spent!

Tim saved the day of us!! We are currently in Pennsylvania and our 5th wheel is in WA. I was at the mercy of finding help over the phone for a service we needed for our 5th wheel and It made me nervous to not be present. Tim responded immediately to my rescue as we needed the service done quickly and was flexible with my unique situation. He was upfront with costs ahead of time, and the cost was very reasonable. Will absolutely use Tim in the future and recommend his services!

Tim saved us potentially 10’s of thousands of dollars. We found an RV that appeared to be exactly what we were looking for. Upon inspection, Tim found several major issues that would not be easily resolved. His report was incredibly thorough and gave us the info to back out of the deal. We then looked at a similar unit from a different dealer and Tim met us there for a quick inspection and he found a few items that we would not have noticed. It allowed us to negotiate both repairs and a discounted price. He was, throughout this process, very professional and informative and friendly. I cannot stress how much positive effect he had on this whole process and allowed us to feel confident about our purchase.

November 16, 2022  — Substantial floor rot directly under Water tank, hidden behind a fixed cabinet.

This is why inspections are important:  Buyer had no idea of several active leaks in the RV with the initial walkthrough and the dealer would never have disclosed this nor is obligated to.  “As is sale”, means as is.

We share a common interest of travel & exploration.  Connect with us.

Whatever your style, as RVrs we all share a common interest of traveling, camping and exploring what this great country has to offer, whether local or far from our home base.

  • If we are hired to provide a comprehensive inspection of your RV, whether you are buying or selling, you will receive an unbiased, thorough, professionally produced report detailing “what the RV tells us.”
  • We will never suggest whether to buy or not buy the RV.  However, armed with your report, your intended camping style, level of experience, travel goals and budget, the decision is yours alone.

Scouting –  A Buyer Service:

Is the RV really in the condition described?  Or, could it be a “Gem” in the rough that is poorly marketed and poorly presented for sale?

Does it merit a certified NRVIA inspection or should I just continue my search for other opportunities?**

We have you covered for any RV, anytime for Washington State, Idaho.

For other States, please inquire.

**This service is the answer to:

  1. I want to have you scout an RV I’m highly interested in but before I order a formal NRVIA certified inspection.
  2. I prefer a neutral third party who also happens to be an NRVIA certified inspector instead of the sales staff at a dealer or the owner.

See below for benefits:

  • Video & Photo documentation
  • Roof & Sealant joint observation
  • Sidewall and paint condition
  • Axles & Running gear
  • Slideouts: roof, subfloor integrity and sealants/perimeter seals.
  • Complete a Fluid Laboratory Analysis of engine oil, coolants and transmission BEFORE ordering a formal inspection or to identify whether the RV merits a formal NRVIA certified inspection.
  • Establishing a highly personalized & professional relationship with an owner or dealer sales rep prior to a formal inspection firmly establishes you as a serious buyer and will hold their attention.
  • Anything you want a specific set of eyes on.
